Cake mix and eggs were on sale so I decided to attempt to bake a cake and, well, it didn't go so well. The cake crumbled when I tried to put it on the plate to frost it, so I decided to salvage it and make cake balls.

I literally ate the leftovers of this for the next two days lol. I was by myself and the lady was like

So recently I've learned of the existence of what they refer to in the hoosegow as "Spread" which is a jail food that consists of literally anything you scrounge together from your commissaries (any miscellaneous chips but usually Fritos, Cheetos, Doritos, etc), mashed up and mixed in with some mashed up, cooked, drained ramen, some processed meat and mayo and then either eaten with a spoon, on a sandwich or rolled in a burrito. I've watched videos of ex-convicts preparing the dish and it looks absolutely vile but I'm kind of curious to try it out. I'm pretty sure I could make a more than capable Spread just with things I have on hand and I don't think it would be much worse than any of the garbage you guys have been posting pics of in this thread. People that eat this stuff swear it's delicious and really it's just a combination of mostly tasty junk food mashed up into one paste.

Anyways, here's a video featuring it, in case anybody is curious.

I haven't committed to this yet, but if I try it out I'll be sure to report back.

You could also talk the guys into doing this and eating it live on the podcast. Wouldn't be the first time they ate something... unusual. (Ahem, buillon cubes and bread!)

That would be one of those tree falling in the woods with no one around to hear it moments tho.

HOLY SHIT THAT WAS THE MOST DISGUSTING THING I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE!!!!

I kept it relatively simple, only adding regular cheese flavored Cheetos and some taco flavored Doritos, 2 slices of processed American cheese food, and half of the chicken flavored salt packet that came in the ramen. No mayo, since I don't like mayo. I crushed everything up and put the noodles in one bag to steep and all the "sauce" ingredients into another bag to congeal. Mixed the two together and it tasted like I was eating globs of Cheetos that someone had stuffed in their mouth, sucked all the flavor off of and then spit them back out forming a moist, gooey clump. The taste of the Cheetos was pervasive. I don't love Cheetos on a good day but with the awful, moist, lumpy texture they took on after moistened and mixed with cheese, it was unbearable and I almost threw up after one bite. Sent the rest of it packing down the garbage disposal and this is the last I'll ever speak of this disaster.

I did cut a hot dog up to put in it but thankfully I decided to taste the majority of it before I put that in, otherwise it would have been a waste of a perfectly good hot dog. I ended up eating the hot dog slices after the fact to try and wash some of that awful Cheeto flavor out of my mouth. It didn't fully work. I still feel gross. Man prison must just be the fucking worst.

Not so much whatcha-been-eating, but more of a whatcha-been-drinking. Had a Buffalo Trace bourbon with dinner this evening and followed it up with a pair of Basil Hayden's.

We got trouble, right here in River City. That's trouble with a T and that rhymes with B and that stands for Bourbon.

I always get excited for McRibs, but I forget every single time that they're nasty and always get disappointed. It blows my mind that the McRib is now probably more famous than the Flinstones movie it was created to promote. (fake edit: Just looked it up and learned that this has a long history before that movie. Huh.)

Somehow I'd made it 30+ years without ever tasting an apple fritter. That has changed. I now define the epochs of my life as pre and post fritter.

You mean the majority owners of Burger King are. Also fun fact they used to be owned by Wendy's at one point in the past.

I dunno why I don't buy granola bars more often. They're so fucking good and you can reasonably get away with calling most varieties of them "healthy" when they're basically just candy bars. I've been getting the ones that have a bunch of fiber in them and they make my shits come out nice and squishy. How many foods can you list that are as pleasant coming out as they are going in???

Supposedly it's back today.

Though last time it came back it took a week to actually get anywhere in Eau Claire and that was only in convenience stores for a few days.

Ok, I don't consider most of those flavors. Lots of minor variations and shit but the only flavors I knew were still in rotation were the red and the orange ones. And the one they only sell out of the fountains at Taco Bell.

I wish that they would continue to sell Live Wire in my market. I saw someone buy a Whiteout just last week. Thought it was like homemade lemonade before I looked at the label.

Is diet Coke a separate flavor from Coke?

Yes, it tastes very different.

Coke Zero on the other hand isn't really a separate flavor from regular Coke.

Coke Zero does in fact taste different than OG Coke. I don't like the taste of Coke Zero.

They all taste different, but no, I don't consider Coke, Coke Zero and Diet Coke different "flavors." They're all cola with different sweeteners. Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke, those are different flavors of Coke. I don't consider Diet Dew, or Throwback or whatever else different flavors.
