Help with finding a Sci-Fi book.

Postby BEARinaMANSUIT » Mar 24th, 2010 @ 2:24am

I read this book years ago in my English class, I found it on some dusty shelf and dove into it, I've forgot about it until recently, and now I can not recall the title of it. I'll losely describe what I remember and maybe some other geeky mind might help me figure out what it's called.

After Avatar came out I remembered the book, it came back to me after hearing the plot of the movie on some podcast, anyway the plot of this movie is just like the books. The book starts with humans, somehow and for some reason they get to this planet and meet a native alien race, now I'm probably long but I recall them being furry and blue, anyway these humans act friendly at first and some of the aliens begin to trust them. Something happens and there is a war and the aliens and humans fight, I think even at one point the humans capture an alien, but no DNA is extracted and merged with a humans, the book ends with the aliens winning and the humans fleeing.

The book is broken up into chapters, all the odd chapters are from the humans prospective, and all the even chapters are from the aliens prospective. One of the humans is named Marcus Aurelius, like the Roman emperor, but I forgot his last name. That's all I can really remember from the book, if anyone can help I would appreciate it, if you can't then thanks for trying.

Sorry bro, I think you might have to let this one go. You just described most sci-fi novels I've ever read.

Figured as much. I've read a lot and there are some features about it that are pretty different. I figured the name of one of the characters and the chapter structure would help a little though.
