How long have you been playing in this league medot? Davis has been in it all 5 years now and his team name has always been Broccoli Discos.

OBJ is such a fucking beast. I wish I had him on my team. I'm sure in 2-3 years he'll find his way onto a Bites squad, after he's past his prime, like Megatron did this year!

In other news, Matty J has actually gotten more touches than Morris again this week. Unfortunately for ex, the Skins are comically hapless.

Running backs don't work much in garbage time when their team is down. Typically if a team is winning, RBs get garbage time work and if they're losing the WRs get garbage time. Redskins are in 100% pass mode right now.

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOFL! Jones was about to score and he fumbled as he entered the end zone so it rolled out for a touchback!

There's nothing worse in fantasy football than when your RB is shackled and let down by a bad defense/impotent offense. You get big fat lemons through no fault of your RB; the team just goes into desperation mode instead, which makes them 100% predictable, which just widens the deficit even more because their offense got even worse. I hate football sometimes.

Yep it's pretty shit. Talented players on awful teams is kind of the double edged sword of FFB.

We're in an 8 team league, that's never the case. There's always trading or a waiver option better than an unproductive back.

Part of why I like fantasy basketball more is because even if your team is shit, a talented player can still rock it hardcore for your team. Injuries aside, there's just so much more regularity and predictability in fantasy basketball, and it's more about having an eye for talent or actually managing your team with skill rather than walking ass-backwards into good luck like medot does.

That's exactly why fantasy basketball is so boring. Draft superstars and just watch them win games for you. That's never fun.

Why do you let one stat from two whole games tell you the whole story of a player? This is the mentality that has you starting Matt Jones right now.

It seems like I was right about Jones becoming the new lead back, at least for this game. That fumble may have set him back in the future however.

Nothing was proven. It could have just been Gruden trying to ride the hot hand from last week. It clearly didn't work. Jones wasn't able to get anything together all game.

It's a lot more than that. Injuries matter, changing landscape matters, change in coaching matters, age matters, etc. Kevin Love was a top10 NBA player, All-Star, Olympian, All-NBA caliber player. He's an easy perennial top5 pick in fantasy. You'd think then going to a better team surrounded by more talent would mean he'd do even better, right? That's how it is in football. Then he goes to Cleveland where he has to share the ball, was asked to play in ways he wasn't comfortable with/didn't capitalize on his skills, and is third banana on the team's pecking order, and suddenly his value slipped like, 30-40 picks making him somewhat of a bust. Some people could see that coming a mile away (since the same thing more or less happened to Chris Bosh in Miami), but if you just payed attention to Yahoo O-Ranks that came out of left field.

Another anecdote: in 2007, Kevin Durant came into the NBA as the #2 pick with 7th-8th round value. Next year, Yahoo had him O-Ranked in a similar spot, but if you watched the guy in college, and you watched him his rookie year, you just knew that holy shit, you were watching a Superstar in the making. Next year I nabbed him in like the 6th or 7th round because nobody else knew better, and I got the #2-3 fantasy player that year as bargain steal that low. Meanwhile a buddy of mine burned a roster spot all year on Gilbert Arenas - a bonafied Superstar at the time - hoping when he came back from his knee injury he'd be the same ole Agent Zero. (spoilers: he never came back because of several setbacks; and the kind of knee injury he had, while Gilbert kept swearing up and down wasn't a big deal and he would come back soon, was the kind that should have kept him out for a year to heal fully)

Oh man, just draft a superstar. I bet you were that one guy that exists in every league that always wastes a first round pick on Dwight Howard because he's a superstar, and then watch as your team sinks because while he provides elite rebounding, blocks, and scoring, every other category he's a minus in and his performance ranked objectively should put him in like the 7th or 8th rounds rather than the 1st because he's such a dangerous double edged sword.

I've played fantasy basketball like 3 times in my life, so no I probably wasn't that guy. Basketball's still a shitty sport that I don't watch anyways. Why are you even in this thread? You already took your ball and went home.
