Hooligans have nothing to do with Football or its supporters.

Calling these pricks 'Football Hooligans' Is the same as calling people who spike drinks at night clubs 'Music Rapists'.

Getting back on topic.

Just picked up my copy of FFXIII on PS3 along with Sands of Destruction. Since Sands of Destruction is portable and FFXIII is not I'll probably get a couple hours into Sands of Destruction before FFXIII. Although with Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver maybe Sands of Destruction will be shelved for a bit as well.

Either way I'm pumped for when May (about the time I'll dig into FFXIII after exams end) comes.

I've read that this linearity is only applicable to the first half of the game or so.

And some would argue that the smelly, socially inept, uber-nerd that you fear is poisoning humanity has nothing to do with the average video game player.

I can't believe Liquid just posted spoilers in this thread. (It doesn't feel much different from FF10 while your playing it.)

I don't think blurry shots of some of the area maps in Japanese really constitutes a spoiler. Also it's Liquid what do you expect.

Yeah I was joking about the spoiler stuff. By the way I've finally came across a difficult part in FF13. Well calling it difficult my be an over exaggeration. It's just that I didn't quite understand what te game wanted me to do.

5 hours in.
Spoiler: show
The Shiva fight

I'm not seeing how that's a spoiler, when you haven't even written a full sentence.

That's like me saying:
Spoiler: show
Neo's kung fu fists

Ya but darfox8 is the guy who likes to apologize for everything that happens on the internet and is pretty cautious of not trying to piss people off. I suppose it could be kind of a spoiler but considering that they have shown Snow riding those spoilers and how usually whenever they introduce summons as more of a character than just some spell you can cast you have to fight them as a boss I had it already in my head I'm going to fight this at some point.

I don't consider this a spoiler so.....

You just have to keep hitting Shiva over and over when Snow's meter is full. Make him a Ravager and hit her three times in a row with each attack. The other Shiva chick will heal you.

This game is growing on me. I didn't care much for the first hour, but it's getting better.

and someone needs to smack Hope upside the head.

Sorry for the non-spoiler spoiler guys. I actually did think someone would be interested in finding out for them selves that you fight that summon, and also the time stamp at which you get it.

Hope is kinda annoying but it seems like the game knows that. Something is eventually going to happen with him. Vanilla-Face seems to be completely oblivious to here stupidity. She's the true culprit here.

Yep she looked to be the genki girl in the coverage I've seen/heard about the game. So kind of like Riku or Penelo or Selphie for example.

so I picked this game up today and I'm really digging is so far, the combat is much faster paced than any previous FF and the paradigm shifts are just so useful. Though I would really like Hope to dies slowly and painfully and for Lightning to pull that stick out of her ass.

I'm gonna go ahead and forgive you because you're only at the tender age of 15, and weren't even alive for games like FFII and III (4 and 6 respectively).

While I thank you for taking my age into consideration I have played both those games and I find XIII to be faster paced

Within the first hours the game the average battles last about 12 seconds. Now I'm about seven hours in and they're like 50 seconds. And the game finally stopped giving out 5-Stars like candy. Now I feel like I actually have to preform well for it to reward me.

Bah! I went to Best Buy to buy ink for my printer today and I couldn't say no to this. I got it for PS3, too, because I felt it was the right choice. I've totally lost the 'chieve contest. Oh well, I've got a week off soon, there is time for both!

I just got to the part where they introduce the sphere gri...I mean, Chrystarium.

The first hour was a bit of a slog, but I'm more interested now. It sure is pretty, I'll give 'em that.

EDIT: I almost forgot: Moms are tough.
