Oh sure. I'm more of a casual gamer, but might as well join in. I'll even see if I have an old game or two to throw into the pot.

If I can dig it up I'd be willing to donate an old Street Fighter Alpha 2 ps1 disc.

In honor of them talking about it on this weeks podcast I'm going to offer up BACK TO THE FUTURE on the NES to the LOSER of this comp. There might be some other goodies in the 'Prize' as well. In an event that there are multiple losers, It will be a random drawing from the hat.

Baby games are not banned. Play Avatar, or any other easy gamerscore game you want. The only game that is banned is Fallout 3 PC since you can literally hack the chieves (allegedly? Mr_eX says so anyways). Aside from that anything is fair game. Personally I wouldn't blame anybody for using any means necessary if it meant procuring my autograph.

Let me know when/if you find it and I'll add it to the OP.

Do you want to participate in the comp?

I think anyone who plays the Avatar: The Last Airbender game should have an asterisk next to their score. It's like gamerscore steroids.

Avatar has already been brought up, its perfectly legal to play it for achievements. It would be too hard to enforce game bannings(fallout 3 PC is banned though), it might be like steroids but in this competition steroids are legal. Besides, its a one time use thing, you use it in this competition and you wont be able to use it in the next one.

Also Gamefly already sent it to me

I'm saving the Avatar trump card for when these competitions take off with the Geekbox staff and they offer up nude pix of Ryan Scott to the winner.

I got one achievement in Mass Effect 2 last night. It was weird though, at the end of the mission when the blue alien on your team is fighting another blue alien the audio cut out, it was just the game, when I opened the guide all the guide sounds were there. So I have no idea what they were saying to each other. Pretty cool looking cut scene though.

The same exact thing happened to me!! I was kind of upset, I didn't have subtitles on. That was the only glitch that happened for me in that game, but when I was presented with the decision you have to make during that scene, I was like "...umm. I wish I knew what they just said."

I looked up the scene on youtube later and it wasn't anything too special, fortunately.

Broke the 30k GS mark tonight. Thanks LOTR Conquest :)

Played through this piece of shit once co-op with a buddy and it was marginally fun, but you only get chieves for beating the levels in single player which is massively dumb. Playing through it is easy enough, it's just rote and boring, but chieves are chieves, and I'm finally getting some GS in a game that's been sitting in my lineup with under 100 GS for months.
