Doesn't really seem like its origins fault that Dead Space 3 is broken

eX, LiQuid lives in the no-fun-zone, it's pointless to get through to him with your ideas of fun.

It was an Origin issue.

Anybody ever consider trying to run a board game night with Tabletop Simulator?

Check out this GAF thread:
http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1185674

I've been kind of fascinated with this thing since I first heard about it a couple months ago but didn't pick it up during the recent sales for some reason. It seems kind of incredible. It's just a physics sandbox that emulates an actual tabletop. Apparently the Steam Workshop has people making mods for a lot of popular board/tabletop games that are free to download.

https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/bro ... ribers&p=1

I imagine a lot of that stuff is work in progress at this point, but holy shit what a great concept. It looks like Steam is actually taking some of the mods down, probably by publisher request cause the shit is so legit. The guy who uploaded some Magic the Gathering sets said they all got took down so he put them on a private server. I imagine with a little digging/research we could figure out how to run a proper game on this thing and it would probably be awesome.

Tabletop Sim is hella robust, though a lot of 'official' board games have been removed from the workshop by the original creators. That said, a lot of games are still available for download (Cutthroat Caverns, Dominion, Mage Wars, etc)

Would be down 100%

EDIT: Also has a lot of built-in assets for running games like D&D, if we're looking into long term as well.

Have you tried running any actual mods on it? How did they feel? In general how intuitive does the simulator feel? Because you're not dealing with a frontend or UI specific to each game you could be running, I'm concerned that actual object manipulation within the simulator might be an impediment to fast paced gameplay. The footage I've seen of the game running seems like a lot of camera manipulation is required to move around the virtual space too. How intuitive is all of that?

I'm sure there are less regimented ways you could get at the content that has been removed from the Workshop. There's a subreddit dedicated to TTS, and I see it's on Nexus too. I'm sure that shit's all out there still. Like you could probably get those Magic the Gathering sets if you look hard enough. That seems like a thing people would be hungry for.

Looking at some videos and info and it looks like there are mods that generate decks (e.g. Magic decks) just by pulling from card databases, and then exports them into a file you can load in TTS. This shit is so amazing.

Getting around the camera isn't so bad, but getting used to the interface/backend stuff is a little cumbersome at first. Learning how to get specific parts of other sets into a generic table (such as custom dice, minis etc.) was kind of a hassle.

In general, mods of full games have everything set up for you on the table ready to go, which is really nice. And yeah, I've heard that this game isn't very good at doing fastpaced board games, and is more garnered towards turnbased ones.

It even had a dude from the Steam group show up.

When the game is cheap I might buy it but no way I'm paying $60 for it.

Convertir Un Fichier Flac En Mp3

Postby dymnfremype » Sep 25th, 2017 @ 10:39pm
