I think Earth 2 will blow up, but that will be the event that triggers the Crisis on Crisis Crisis that sets in motion things to get rebooted so that Earth 2 gets repaired or merged with Earth 0. Because in Futures End, it's pretty clear that Earth 2 going kablewie is the impetus for Darkseid to invade Earth 0 again. And something something antimonitor.

Interesting bit of New 52 history that Brenden Fletcher, the current co-writer of Batgirl & Gotham Academy, shared in an AMA.
Brenden Fletcher wrote:She was Batgirl for a year from age 16. Paralyzed at 17. Healed at 20. Back in the suit at 21. Those three years in the chair were spent on college work and other ... as yet unrevealed secrets. But no, she has never been Oracle. That character doesn't exist in the New 52. .

I don't feel like she has felt this young during any point in Simone's run of the book.

She has been dude, it's just the artwork and grime maybe makes her look a little older. The thing that bugs me is the waffling on Dick's age and Batman's. Batman (and Superman, and basically every hero) was originally only supposed to be like, 25. I think they've aged him at least 5 years at this point though.

So is Dick early, mid, or late 20s? How old are Jason and Tim? I can mildly accept Tim as very late teens, but I assume Jason is at least 21, since I think we have seen him drinking in a bar. I always assumed Babs was like 267 or 27 in the New 52.

N52 is super brief. Everything that happened happened within like, 5 years. For Batman there was Zero Year and he was like 21 or some shit major young, then Year1 where the JL was formed. The next year Batman got Dick and then Barbara in short succession. Next year he got Jason. Next year he got Tim. Year after that he got a son (which is why Damian is a test-tube baby now instead of a love-child) and then went through time. Now he's back and N52 things are happening. Everyone who joined Bats joined up at like, teenage years. So at most they're all in their early 20s and Batman is like, 25-28 at the oldest.

It also pisses me off that they made PG & Huntress so young out of nowhere. They originally were supposed to be around the same age as Batman & Superman, maybe minus a year or two - and it's part of the reason why they are creeped out by them/disrespect them as illegitimate because in their eyes Batman & Superman are their fathers and decades older, not the same age. Now they're a good 5-6 years younger than them and I'm all like 'wut'.

Azzarello and Chiang's run of Wonder Woman is now over. I hope the Finch's taking over can be an acceptable replacement, instead of becoming unreadable garbage ala Green Lantern.
I'm going to be so bummed when Tomasi, Gleason, and Gray finish their run on Batman and Robin.

Meredith Finch hasn't even wrote anything in her life? Is this right? I can't find any information on her at all. This sounds like it is going to be bad you guys.

As I said before, the entire second half of Az/Chang's WW has just been corny as fuck compared to the first. The finale was more of that. The spoilerific reveal at the end was cheesy too. None of this was bad, just corny. It didn't do justice to the set up. Was a fun read at least, but I'm looking forward to seeing where the book goes. I just really really hope it doesn't suck. It sounds like Mrs. Finch might have nepotism'd her way into a gig here.

I like David Finch's art most of the time, even if it fits the DC house style a little too much. I have become so used to Chiang and his backup artist being the current interpretation of WW that I feel like anything else in the typical style will do it no justice.

Those issues of Justice League with Ivan Reis on art was the best Wonder Woman has looked in the N52. But yeah it's going to be hard transitioning from Chang to DC house. I was leafing thru the old pre-nu52 Rucka Wonder Woman and it's really hard to go back to that boring art.

The bionic body horrors of Future's End's future is good shit when it's a future to be avoided. But it looks like in the current time of the Future's End book that we're going to start seeing some of that shit happen, and I don't like that.

Pretty hilariously:

In all seriousness, it's not that much of a stretch TBH. John has always been a hard-ass with a heart of gold. And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he like, the only lantern that's ever been married? And like Cross said, he's been spending the better part of the last two years being lovey-dovey with Fatality. New Gods are ripping the Zamarons a new one, John showed up to help, and they gave him a purp-ring so he can do their heart-teather thing and help everyone escape to where the rest of the Corps are.

The Legion of Superheroes are fighting with/against the Justice League of Canada right now. And the Legion just called in Legion Lost. Friggin' Convergence is happening, dawgs. How wet are the pussies over at the CC?

I really hope that Convergence doesn't completely jettison the N52. I actually like a lot of the shit they're doing and the changes here and there. I really hope this isn't a new-coke, old-coke thing. I'll literally murder someone if they relabel DC comics from "New 52" to "Classic 52".

New to the forums and comics in general too! I've been reading New 52 and really enjoying the series I'm reading. Arrow, Justice League, Batman and Deathstroke. I want to pick up a bunch more, but with Convergence being released so soon, where should I spend my money? It's going to cost me roughly $600 (AUD) to pre-order the Convergence set from CC or I could spend that and pick up most of the New 52 titles locally.

Thoughts?

Batman and Robin has been consistently good throughout. Flash was good til the creative team switched. I liked Swamp Thing a whole lot.

I liked the Grant Morrison stuff of Action Comics. I also hear the Greg Pak stuff starting at issue #25 is good stuff, even though I haven't read it yet. The Superman: Doomed storyline was actually pretty good, but it was a crossover event that you would need to track down what to read.
All the Green Lantern stuff before Johns finished his run was good. Maybe not Red Lanterns, but that actually got a lot better under Charles Soule.
Wonder Woman was really good under Azzarello and Chiang.
