Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but the whole concept of doing a retarded comedy by editing yourself into an old kung fu movie and recording MSTK style dialogue for the original film is genius. Yeah, as some others have said the ending and the cow fight are pretty bad, but this movie is loaded with clever little goofball sight gags.

I don't think I've ever seen Kung Pow, but it reminded me of a movie I haven't seen in ages...Shaolin Soccer. God damn, I need to download that now!

Same here! I liked Shaolin Soccer more than Kung Fu Hustle...but they were both great.

I just came out of the theater, watching Twilight: Eclipse. It wasn't the worst film I've ever seen, but pretty close.

The new Twilight movie was bad? Who would have thought?

Seriously though, have you seen the other two? Is this one better or worse? The first one was playing in the room while I was working on beating the GBA FF4, and what I did watch was just god awful. This shit wasn't even up to the quality you'd expect from a major theatrical release. It was made for cable quality, at best. The second movie was bad, but a bit more competent. It actually felt like a theatrical release, just a really shitty one.

I watched both of the Twilight movies with rifftrax and they were still close to being the worst I've ever seen. It's hysterical watching the Screened guys watch these. They start out all optimistic ("Beers, pizza and Twilight, woooo!") and then they slowly descend into madness as the video plays on. I never had more fun watching two men go insane in my entire life.

I've had to watch all 3. Nothing will match the second for shittiness (giant dogs! Nothing happening practically all film! The world's worst acting!), but it came close. I mean, my wife's read them all (and is a raging Twihard), and had to explain why the fights at the end were such a massive fucking letdown, and in the end admitted the book does it better. Still, at least stuff happens in this one.

And yes, they never made a Highlander sequel, nor a cartoon.

Most of the time when I see a really bad movie I'm at least entertained by how bad it is. One of the worst for me was Gladiator, it was a watchable throwaway summer film that somehow got crazy amounts of praise and then went on and won best film of 2000 from the academy. "Frost, sometimes it makes the blade stick." I can't roll my eyes hard enough.

I though Attack of the Killer Tomatoes was the worst ever. Cult classic or not, that was fucking garbage.

I know a girl who named her two sons after the highlanders: Conner & Duncan.

The sad thing is, it's not like it's working on a recipe for disaster. Vampires used to be inherently badass stuff. Combine that with giant wolves and lots of sex, and that should be a winning combo... at the very least, on a 'three wolves one moon' kind of level. But Twilight fails at even that.

I've seen the other two and this one is actually better. But like I explained to someone else, "that's like saying this is the better smelling fart." In the end of the day, it's still a fart and smelly, it just doesn't smell as bad as it could.

My girl reminded me that I couldn't even be in the room whill she watched this on Lifetime last xmas.

Wasn't that the plot of the last Santa Clause movie, with Tim Allen? He had to find a Mrs. Claus, 'cause of.. "the Mrs. Clause"

So is Shyamalan done now? People shit on the man, but I liked Sixth Sense and Signs, loved Unbreakable, and thought Lady in the Water had some neat shit going on. The Happening being his big rated R movie was a huge letdown (although y'know, there was some good shit in that movie. It was just buried in shitty shit) and everyone saying The Last Airbender was a turd has me wonder if he's done getting big studio funding.

Many years ago (1993), I use to play a Pen and paper RPG called Cyberpunk 2020. In the main manual for the game, they gave a bunch of reference material for setting up the game, from movies, books and television shows. I had read and watched pretty much everything on the list except for Liquid Sky.

So, down I went to my local Tower Records and Video to rent a copy of this movie. I figured it had to be good if Cyberpunk 2020 was referencing it. Oh dear god how could I have been so wrong. It was awful. It was hideous. I tasted vomit in my mouth as I watched the movie.

I guess I should have known that it would be like this when I read that it was filmed in New York during the early '80 new wave art and fashion scene, but holy crap it was terrible. I mean, aliens that look like Dixie paper plates, a woman that also plays a man, and has sex with people and then those people die, but first they end up with crystals in their head that transfer their sexual energy to the aliens before they die and disappear. Terrible off rhythm music, mixed with hyper colored fashion and vapid acting. It is a disaster that I have yet to forget, and to this day, I have yet to watch a movie worse than Liquid Sky. I would take Transformers 2: Ghetto Bots Unite 100 times in a row before watching Liquid Sky.

If you will excuse me now, I have to get my decontamination scrub after even mentioning this horrible movie.

I sort of like the crazy 80s vibe coming off of it. Not enough to watch the entire movie; but enough for me to watch several clips and cringe.

Maybe so, but If somebody asked me if I would rather watch a new movie directed by Frank Miller or read a new comic written by him, the choice would be obvious.
