Hot or not debates aside, what are you thinking of the show so far, kenzo?

I still like it. The last few episodes have a "did he or didn't he" type of mystery about them, and I wish the show wasn't as feel-good as it is, so that the mystery meant something (because obviously, the main characters and their convictions will always be upheld/reinforced).

In terms of being a crime drama, the show is an epic fail. Nothing is mysterious. You can't possibly begin to piece the puzzle pieces together yourself to come to the conclusion before they do. There's usually no puzzle pieces to begin with.

As a purely action show though, it's probably the best on TV right now (that's right, fuck you Burn Notice). And the character interaction/growth is reason enough to keep watching, since I like the main characters. Still wish Daniel Dae Kim would play a more prominent role though. This show would do well to take a Star Trek: TNG approach, where each new episode focuses on a different cast member. Even the episodes that are all about the other cast members, still tend to revolve around McGarrett and Danno.

It does action the best because it has the biggest budget, simple as that. And I still feel that Daniel Dae Kim will get more to do later in the season. At some point in the season they'll start directing the storylines back around to McGarrett's dad, the toolbox, and microcassette recorder, etc. and I'm sure that what he was investigating will tie back into Chin Ho's dismissal from the force and expose corruption (more, that is, than just Bruce Lee) in the police department (and eventually get Chin Ho's name completely cleared).

I hope you're right about Chin, but I'm not holding my breath. I feel like this show seems like it's extraordinarily predisposed towards stagnancy.

WTF? Last week, Bruce Lee was on, this week it's his father???

Sucks that Emmanuelle Vaugier got smashed by a bus.

Nice to see Kelly Hu back.

This week was aight. I had a feeling his friend would end up being the traitor. I didn't see the bus coming, strangely enough.

Also, the CQC-fight at the very end was badass.

Yeah I didn't see the bus coming, but it appears every new special team or hired good cops are in some way the bad guys ... Looking forward to the next episode ...

Episode was entertaining. The bad guy who turned used to be on the Unit. That was a great show. I hope it doesn't go the way of CSI by being formulaic. It would be hilarious if the actor who played Jacob on Lost made a guest appearance. I see that guy in different shows and I always imagine him as Jacob. Between this show, Burn Notice and Walking Dead, I am set!

Danno's ex-wife is fairly attractive. Good episode too, btw.

Never really got into Dr. Who. Last episode was ok. While they were stripping down to jump in and get the money in the water, there was not enough of Grace Park. :(

A bunch of jewelry theives who by day train for a triathalon and steal? I hope the writing gets better than this.

Decent enough episode this week. A little more revealed about McGarrett's family. Hope it pays off down the line.

Really not a fan of Masi Oka's pos-Heroes downward spiral though... :?

Meh, Masi's gotta eat!

I enjoy this show... its a guilty pleasure more then anything. Its VERY easy on the eyes and looks great in HD.

The 'banter' between McGarrett and Dano is getting to be a little much, they just need to tone it down a bit.

....More Kono please 8-)
Prepare for trouble...

Oh yeah, I'm not really gonna criticize Masi. He does need to eat and he was awesome as Franklin on Scrubs!

Total guilty pleasure show for me too and more Grace Park is a good thing.

As much as I like this show, I'm beginning to have a hard time keeping up with it. It's not like I hate the show, or no longer enjoy myself watching it, I've just lost a lot of my initial enthusiasm for it. I'll catch up and watch episodes whenever, if I have some free time. But yeah, it's no longer anywhere near a must see for me. I can see myself dropping this show next season.

Spike/Brainiac returns!!!

The mystery behind Chin's disgrace is revealed. And Mark Dacascos is introduced to play the new Wo Fat, Steve McGarrett's long time nemesis.

Grace Park looking attractive as ever.

Wow, good episode to kick off the new year. Part of the mystery of the tool box is uncovered, and Wo Fat makes a cameo, foreshadowing his antagonism of McGarrett throughout the series.

Nice to see Shang Tsung still getting work.

Who is the actor that did a stare down with McGarret at the golf course? He looks familiar. Show is picking up. This show is good for Hawaii's economy.
