I am nearing the end of DS9 season 6 and this season is a big step up from 5. I really liked the Sisko as 50 sci-fi writer episode as the writers pointing out how the golden age of sci-fi was more shit than gold. In the Pale Moonlight actually works really well in this show cause it makes perfect sense it will never be mentioned by either Sisko or Garrat again.

Watching this and Babylon 5 side by side it's well written episodes like this that shows up B5 for acting and writing which really suck major balls compared to DS9. I still like B5 but I am going to stop after the 4th season since it's the season all the big storylines get wrapped up. B5 does do a very interesting thing of spreading out the end of the major story arcs throughout the 4th season rather than shove them all into the last episode which gives it more to to finish each arc properly.

Far Beyond the Stars is prob my favorite episode ever. In the Pale Moonlight is pretty boss and the last part gives me chills. Season 7 unfortunately nose dives a little. Too many one-off episodes that aren't very good. And then at the end they shove the conclusion of this huge war into a handful of episodes.
I stream games some times. Come and watch www.twitch.tv/darfox8 These are my Highlights.

Anybody watch Renegades?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2621446/

I downloaded it and skipped around it just to see the production values and it's pretty ghetto but it looks pretty hilarious. I might actually watch it but I'm not sure I'll be able to stomach the whole thing.

I've never been the biggest fan of, well, fan productions, but Continues is growing on me (though they're pretty hit and miss) and Axanar looks amazing (if they ever manage to finish it without it falling apart).

The only thing better than new Star Trek is reading Higgins's confusion about how it'll air. No stupid, it won't be a web exclusive.

No it's streaming to CBS's paid streaming service. This is the long-awaited replacement to cable that the fucking cord cutters have brought upon us. Every fucking outlet having their own subscription model service for $10 a month. So instead of spending $120 a month for 1,000 channels you don't watch, you can spend $120 a month for 10 channels you do watch.

After looking further into this, I still believe that Kenzo and Rodney are wrong about it coming to tv.

It sounds like it will air on TV in other countries.

What is there to be confused about? The first episode will preview on CBS, the terrestrial, television network, and then it will only be available exclusively on their paid streaming All Access service. They want this to be their House of Cards. This is going to be the show that gets a bunch of cord cutters to give CBS their $10/mo back (right?). It will 100% air on actual television networks overseas because they don't have CBS All Access overseas. There's literally nothing to be confused about. They have stated all of this in the initial press release.

And yet as big as this development is for Trekkies, producer CBS Television Studios also shocked a number of TV-industry insiders with the news of how it plans to distribute the new show. Rather than find a home for it on a linear broadcast or cable network (such as CBS or Syfy), the studio decided the new Trek — after a preview on the CBS network — will live on CBS All Access, the Netflix-like subscription streaming service owned by the Eye.

So funny how you're dumb.

It's $6 a month, not $10.
