Best paraphase of the interview...

Carlton Cuse: If your watching LOST with a checklist in hand waiting for answers then your probably not going to enjoy the finale.

Sorry Ryan. It definitely was a good interview though, I enjoyed it a lot more then last week's episode.

Did we really expect an explanation making sense? Can they really do an explanation making sense?

No, they hype it for weeks, charge a lot of money for ads and when all the people tune in who have not seen the show for years, they are going to present them with some utter BS that will be worse than Star Trek 4 and 5 combined. Fistfight in hell, mark my words.

Woah, you dare to bad-mouth Star Trek IV!? I get why people hate The Final Frontier, but The Voyage Home!? Between these and your lost theories, I think it's safe to label you 'certifiably crazy.'

Star Trek IV is easily the funniest movie in the Star Trek franchise. Besides it is an even movie. Everyone know the odd ones and ten suck.

I just want to chime in and say that it seems to be being painted that there are two groups of people: those who loved the finale, and those who hated it because it didnt address the big questions.

Id like to cast a vote for being kind of OK with not having the answers, I saw that coming in the build up to the finale, but actually just not liking the finale as a piece of drama, for a lot of reasons.

I think hanging all criticism on the back of the lack of answers conveniently 'blames' all criticism on viewers not being able to embrace the direction they took, whereas I think there is actual criticism due of the drama that played out.

Interesting. I hope they don't do a montage, or try to answer everything they left unanswered in those twelve minutes. Also, I hope they don't raise more questions, but it would be an awesome "Fuck You" to everyone if they did.

That was terrible. Almost as bad as George Lucas editing the original Star Wars trilogy after the fact.

You can also watch it here: http://www.shadowandact.com/?p=28704

That epilogue makes me think that Disney would consider doing a sequel to lost. Probably not called Lost though. But that ended in such a way that I bet we get to see the story of Hurley, Ben, Walt and whoever. That seems like a really silly ending to not actually lead to anything. Not having some follow up to the show would be like not having Joker in the sequel to Batman Begins after Batman is shown the "calling card" of the bank robber with a taste for theatrics.

I didn't really care about the questions they answered. And when one of the Dharma workers was like, "You can't just leave us, we deserve some answers!" I rolled my eyes and audibly groaned. I effing hate it when the writers use characters to have conversations with us as fans, and that's all this 12 minute segment was: the writers telling us definitively, "here's a bone, but you're never gonna know everything, and you can just fucking deal with it."

If I'm going to spend a hundred dollars on something like a boxset, I want to know EXACTLY what I'm paying for.

That was a shitty unboxing. They never showed the opening of the actual box! They never show anything opening. There's compartments on the temple somewhere, but we never get to see how anything inside is situated. Fucking stupid.
