General dump thread for movie trailers that maybe don't deserve their own dedicated threads.

It's gonna be a good year for big, dumb, sci-fi movies I think. John Carter already came and gone. There's that bootleg Riddick looking Lockdown movie opening soon that looks terrible and awesome in equal measure. I guess Hunger Games counts. Then you've got Judge Dredd, Prometheus, Men in Black 3... There's probably more.

Lockdown looks like Escape from LA in space. I'm going to see it and Cabin in the Woods in the theater back to back.

Ive been told that a number of times actually... I'll give it a shot before seeing this one, for what little story connected stuff there may be.
I just had such a tough time getting past the goofy looking mario brothers movie rocket boots and Wayans brother mucking it up in the trailers.

File this one under "bad" or "lulzy".
Actually, either of those ratings would be far too generous.

I don't think we're on the same page about what type of movies I like as often as you think we are.

Agreed, especially considering an official sequel (My Summer Story - a.k.a. It Runs in the Family) was already released in 1994.

That was the other trailer I was going to post here but I was so fucking mad by the end of it that I didn't. I've never seen a trailer start out so promising and tank so fucking hard in the span of two minutes. I thought it was going to be another wackadoo, dystopian, near-future, sci-fi romp, like Justin Timberlake's In Time, and then "From the dude who made Paranormal Activity" flashed and the trailer turned into a fucking terrible Panic Room ripoff. Way to waste a fucking amazing premise.

I agree. That premise deserves a better movie.

I've seen this movie a few times and it's great but I didn't know until yesterday that it had the most amazing trailer of all time.
