I think they were all supposed to be dumb. It was meant to be a real legion of losers. Which is why it took less than an episode to wipe them all out.

So shield, instead of just cutting the knives off the finger nails, covered them with some convoluted finger trap.

Well, I got the impression that they were somehow implanted directly into her fingers. But yeah, they should have just been able to file them down smooth instead of the nonsense finger cuffs.

I mean, lets be real here. What she had didn't even qualify as a power. There's nothing that she could do that a person with a regular knife couldn't do better.

Ok, so like what's up with all the godawful plot threads they are introducing lately? I'm only half way into the latest episode, but (while I'm thrilled to see Edward James Olmos) the NuSHIELD double agent bullshit and the Ward/May Clone storylines are both fucking travesties... Are they filling time until the next Marvel movie comes out and gives them some worthwhile plot devices to work with again???

Next Marvel movie is Avengers so maybe expect some robot stuff towards the end of the season.

Could Edward James Olmos be a robot? That would be totally stupid!!

I don't think Ultron is evolved to the point where he's making LMDs at this point.

I mean, he presumably doesn't even get himself a really shitty robotic looking body until the movie.

And no, I've only seen pieces of Gangs of New York.

Alright, the double agent stuff is still heck of dumb but at least they didn't draw it out. EJO's motivation for not trusting Coulson is just fucking laughably contrived. Teleporter dude is fucking dope. They need to get loose with the powers in this show badly.

He's no different than any other ridiculously bigoted character in the Marvel universe.

"They aren't pure human, therefore they can't be trusted."

I can't even stay mad at this show. Especially for something like being dumb and comic booky, when that's literally all I've wanted since day 1. It's finally living up to those promises, cliches and all.

They're talking about a spin off but they haven't said what it would be. They've just said it would be based on one of the story elements from the rest of this season. So my guess is the not x-men.

Haha, the cavalry flashback. I'm actually dying laughing. Who falls for this sappy bullshit?

May is actually probably the worst character in any medium in the history of mankind.

Haha, I hope they don't explain Hunter's electric hand dryer MacGuyver escape so it's like the 3 sea shells thing in Demolition Man.

It's pretty obvious. The dryer blows air. The air must come from an air duct. All air ducts can be crawled through. Duh.

I hope you aren't referring to the scene with Skye shooting a bunch of mooks.

Of course he was. It was a long fight scene filmed in one take. That makes it automatically awesome. Or so I've been told.

5 minutes of Daredevil stumbling around a hallway. "BEST FIGHT SCENE EVER!!"

I kid though. It actually was a really cool scene.

Definitely not. I hate jump cuts and shakey camera.

I'm just saying, having no cuts doesn't automatically make a fight scene amazing.

The one in Ong Bak is amazing. The one in Daredevil is just okay.

Seriously? That was it for the tie-in?

That Skye shooty scene from last week was alright but it would have been better if at any point during it she would have used her powers. Choreographed, tracking shots are always going to look better to me than kinetically edited slop, and kind of hats off to them for trying it, but that 30 seconds of film looked so out of place compared to literally everything else in the show up to that point which kind of defeats the purpose of doing it in the first place.

meDotJS wrote:Seriously? That was it for the tie-in?

Haven't watched this week's episode yet, but whatever it is, who fucking cares? Still haven't seen any of last year's Marvel shitfests so I have no clue how they tied into the first season of Agents, but I honestly don't even care.

Yeah, AoU made it kind of seem like Fury was back in charge of Shield, but I guess that's not the case. It's just one independantly operated helicarrier I guess.

Still, the episode was decent. And they've officially dubbed the Inhumans "Inhumans" now.

That opening was disappointing. Made it seem like it was going to be a Patton themed episode. But it wasn't.

LiQuid wrote:Haven't watched this week's episode yet, but whatever it is, who fucking cares?

People who did watch last year's Marvel shitfests. Which is most of the people watching this show.

No. Because even when he was in charge of Shield he was only on the show, like, twice.

Also, watch the movies so you don't keep asking stupid fucking questions like this.

ROLF! I just totaled up the run times of all the ones I haven't seen. ELEVEN U.S. HOURS!

What are the chances that I get even TEN minutes worth of actual entertainment out of that entire marathon?

You? None. People like them, so you'll be incapable of enjoying them. You only like shit everyone hates.
