Can I tell you how much it sucks that Patton only gets cameos on good shows, and the only thing he gets to be a regular cast member on is The Heart, She Holler?

I have a feeling I should've watched Winter Soldier before this most recent episode aired.

Yep.

I've gotten completely caught up on the show after watching the Winter Soldier and can say that it's very important to watch that.

Yeah, I don't know what the plot of the movie is but I have a feeling it's just been spoiled for me by the TV show.

Oh well, that's what I get for waiting this long to see it.

Caught up with it tonight, because of obvious reasons. I guess it makes sense why this show kind of sucked for months. The show runners probably got access to the Cap II script about 4 or 5 episodes in to the series, and were just like "Well... Shit. Time to tread water for six months."

Good episode though. Maybe the show will end with a satisfying conclusion now. Can't imagine it's going to get a second season.

Spoiler: show
I was a little bothered by the reveal of the Clairvoyant. I can understand Paxton being the "point man", but the Clairvoyant's ability to predict the future seemed exactly like what Dr. Zola in Captain America 2 was designed to do. If you're tying it in to these movies, go whole hog and make Paxton just working off of the Zola algorithm. I did like the soldiers snapping their heels and proclaiming "HAIL HYDRA!", Ward's turn at the end and the "fade out" as the show ends with the HYDRA emblem instead of the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo.

So yeah. Wrap this shit up and make the last six episodes real good. Oh yeah, and kill Skye.

No, the show runners knew about the Cap 2 storyline before the show began. They knew who the big bad of the season was going to be and how/when the reveal would be (after Cap 2's release, obviously) from the jump. The reason the show sucked for months was because it was a terrible show for months.

Here's an interview with some of the executive producers, for those so interested: http://www.tvguide.com/News/Agents-SHIE ... 80215.aspx

The reason the show sucked (and still sucks) is because Marvel sucks.

Brock hack your acct?

I've started watching it again. Those early ep killed my interest in the show so badly, I'm actually enjoying watching it now with no expectations.

Real talk:

1) 25% of why I say this is because it gets certain people riled up (Walzo) and that's funny.
2) 25% of why I say this is because the Marvel movies are pretty much, without exception, boring and overrated.
3) 50% of why I say this is because I'm really really really tired of hearing Bryce do his thing to the point where anything he talks about I'm immediately biased against it. He's about 500x worse than Brock ever was in the hater-department.

It made one of the boring characters interesting, and the storyline isn't finished.

Too much wasted potential from the other characters. This show will never be as good as Arrow :(

I am glad that they didn't pussy out with the whole Ward twist. They coulda done something stupid like mind control or one of those little eye things. But they didn't, and that makes me happy.

Just watched the first episode. It was better than I was expecting given how much everybody hated the show when it first came out. I'm sure after all the Whedon dialog dries up these characters are going to get old real fast but we will see. Apparently people have warmed up to it lately. The first episode was way more wackadoo, comic-booky than Arrow has been. Does that keep up? Like the flying robots and the flying car and shit?

That's the one with the hole in the airplane and the raft right? Yeah, it was.

You should probably either just give up, or skip to the 2nd half of the season.

Does every episode have a scene of the agents punching people with guns who are really bad at shooting them before they get to within punching distance? So far I think we're 3 for 3.

Agreed.
I feel sorry for the girl that plays Skye. Theres just nothing anyone could do with dialogue like that or a character who makes those decisions.
Probably my favourite episode yet though.
