Every single time a movie that I like from the 80s or 90s has been given a modern update it has been an unequivocal disaster. How the fuck can you possibly be hyped for this?

A. It's from the creator of the original trilogy
2. Did you even watch the trailer?

I dunno, this will probably be alright. It is rated R at least. That's always a good start.

There is a guy wearing a Rocketeer helmet playing the flame thrower guitar on a truck made of speakers. It's already movie of the year.

George Miller has put the modern action film to shame. Simply put, this is the best action movie I've seen so far this decade.

An invigorating jolt of demented originality, it makes the other Mad Max films seem like demo reels for the kinetic rush of this chase epic.

... a stone-cold action master class, beautiful and brainy and startling in the ways it throws off the current definition of the blockbuster.

Fury Road not only captures the same Molotov-cocktail craziness of Miller's masterpiece, 1981's The Road Warrior-it's also a surprisingly hypercaffeinated film for a director in his fifth decade behind the camera.

[F]aster, bigger, badder, & better than anything else you'll see on screen in 2015. An awe-inspiring display of action storytelling... [and] insanely uncompromising brilliance...

The kind of superlative action filmmaking that rips away at our collective acceptance of mediocrity. The bar has been raised.

This isn't just one of the best action movies of the year -- it may eventually go down as one of the best action movies ever made.

You should quit your job in the mailroom and start making the back of DVD covers.

Can't wait to see how dismal the box office take is for this. Will it even beat repeat viewings of Avengers?

What is donotlink?
Linking to dubious websites
You've all heard there's no such thing as bad publicity. On the internet this is doubly true. When you link to a website — regardless of the reason — this strengthens its position in search engines. This means that a bad review of a website makes it more popular.

When you are discussing or alerting others to a website that promotes a fraud, scam, cult or other questionable business and you link to that site, search engines will (after a while) improve the offending site's rank.
Therefore, more people will find these shady websites, and will be exposed to their content without getting the proper context.

That's where donotlink comes in.
With donotlink.com, you can link to sites without giving them "Google juice".

Donotlink uses three different ways to block search engines from crawling a link. So you can post the link on forums, message boards, facebook, twitter, reddit, and other public places without giving shady websites any undue credibility.

I pulled this particular link off a feminist blog (lol), and not by choice, but tl;dr, no you didn't give a click to some scumbag.

Having never seen the original movies, I thought this movie was pretty dope. Empty theater though for opening day. Avengers 2 was packed as shit on opening day.

It has made more than Pitch Perfect 2 worldwide though. Worldwide it has made $115,767,601 with a $150 million budget. We may actually get a sequel out of this. It made a little more than Kingsman(which was also an awesome R rated action movie) did it's opening weekend and worldwide Kingsman has made $403,102,424. I'm not worried about Mad Max.
