Why did Kilgrave have to kill the dog? That shits not cool!

It's a little disappointing that they actually gave Jessica eye lazers.

Also Kilgraves Dr. Who Converse product placement was out of place.

Otherwise good ep!

I can't stand Jessica's blond talk show friend. If they can't get actors that know how to hide their accent they should just let their character have an accent. Poorly faking a US accent always comes off as stilted and hard to watch.

Jesus fucking christ Netflix... First episode was totally fine. Second episode so far has been 20 minutes of 2 people in a room talking to each other. LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE. 2 people. 1 room. Conversation. This is going to be fucking Daredevil all over again.

Power Man's rad. Kilgrave's rad. Jessica's rad too. All these characters are rad. But fuck that second episode was boring. This is going to be another 13 boring episodes to slog thru but at least the characters are rad.

I'm not saying every comic book adaptation needs to be yuk yuk funny ha ha but the self seriousness of this and Daredevil actually fucking bum me out so bad. These are characters that can throw people across the room and can withstand a broken beer bottle shank to the neck or a buzzsaw in the gut. Why do they have to just sit around brooding all the god damn time.

I've watched 2 episodes so far. Seems pretty good. If you don't like shows that take themselves seriously you probably shouldn't watch it though.

I watched it all, and boring was definitely the word I'd use to describe it.

Daredevil was slow paced. But at least he was up against an organization will all these different parts he had to take down. And the show was methodically sprinkled with cool martial arts fights.

There's, like, one fight in this entire series. And these people ACTUALLY have superpowers. There's only one villain really. And he's not the action-oriented type.

Anyway, the actors are good, and the characters are good, but nobody does anything. And the special effects are nonexistent.

I never read Alias, but I'd always heard good things about it. And I'd heard this was pretty faithful to it. But this series did not impress me.

I'm 8 episodes in and I think it keeps getting better.

The problems trying to be solved in this show are not ones that can be solved with super powers or cool fights. It's kind of refreshing to have a comic book show rely on plot instead of action.

The problem is that if you want a show that relies on plot instead of action there are far better places you can go to get that. The reasons why I think Alias is a good comic seem to be the same reasons why I don't think it'll make a good TV show. I'm still gonna finish it. I highly doubt it will be worse than Daredevil. Occasional karate fights didn't make up for how bad that show was. Did they really kill Ben Urich? I didn't dream that, did I? Yeah, I'm sure I will like JJ better. I'm still on like episode 4. Too much Fallout has been played.

It does not pay to be an old black guy in these Netflix series.

It really pisses me off that she doesn't knock people out with a single punch. If she is as strong and reckless as they make her out to be really she would be killing fools. Unless she's trained and so should be able to taje guys out with one hit.

Finished it. Kilgrave was awesome. Everyone else was kinda meh. Jessica in particular kinda went through the whole show just making dumb decision after dumb decision. Ending was anticlimactic.

Are you sure you're not watching Narcos?

Sorry I'm late to the party but I really liked Jessica Jones. I marathoned it straight through, from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM. Mostly because I haven't been doing anything these past weeks. I haven't seen Daredevil yet and I've never been into superhero movies but I really fucking liked this show. I agree with Dakazu that it was annoying to see Jessica make so many dumb mistakes. Not the best writing, but I'm a fan of the show for sure.
