He loves playing the evil version of himself on TV. At least according to his twitter account.

He actually keeps an Evil Wil Wheaton account on Facebook, too.

Watched the first four episodes of the series earlier. <3 Takei! The Sheldon cat episode's pretty damn slow, though. It's a weirdly hollow series so far.

Lack of Penny, and they're focusing on Sheldon. Not enjoying this season so much.

'course, Penny broke her leg so they've been doing what they can.

They've been focusing on Sheldon since mid-season one. He's the funniest character on the show.

Also, Kaley Cuoko broke her leg right before the season started shooting. That's why she was behind the bar at her job.

Is it me or is this show no longer funny. For some reason I stopped liking it by the end of the last season. It just seems that the jokes aren't landing as often as they used to.

I dunno, I think this season's going alright. And it's still early. The George Takei cameo was pretty funny.

Wow, good episode to cap the mid-season. Looks like the story of Leonard and Penny is far from over.

And Sheldon as the Flash was hilarious.

Cool, but they have to tone down the Sheldon stuff for a while. Too much Sheldon this season.

It's because he's so damn popular. They need to stop pushing it though.

His little post-ep Flash daydream was great, though.

Problem is, he's really the only reason to watch that show... I'm also thinking the show is passed its prime in general.

Sorry, it would seem I am in the business of thread necromancy this morning.
Big Bang can still do no wrong in my eyes, I can see that Sheldon is becoming more and more the main character, but looking at it logically the only real narrative future for Leonard is for him to get back together with Penny permanently, and as that is the main focus of the show from it's inception that would effectively end the show. It's Ross and Rachel all over again.
I also like that Howard has a bigger part in this series, but I can't see where Raj's character can go really, I feel he is the weak link narratively.
Also, what the hell is going on with the time slot? They've announced it is the 'end of the series' on channel 4 last week, yet we are only as far as the 'Bus Pants' episode, and it seems to suddenly be fortnightly now in the US all of a sudden? I'm confused.

I don't know about the UK, but in the US they usually save new episodes for sweeps (the period in which nielson ratings are scored for stations to base advertising rates), so we should get new episodes in February and May.

Thanks, that sounds like a rather complicated way of doing things but I suppose it depends what you're used to. Not that my whole life revolves around the telly anyway (just a good 80% of it ;) )

It seems a little complicated. We generally have new episodes mid to late September through the November sweeps. Then again in February and May.

I love BBC shows, but this 12 episodes per year shit has to stop! Fucking lazy Brit actors! Get on a 22 episode season like everyone else!

We Brits don't have as many actors as you in the US! So rather than having an actor appear in just one role in one show you tend to find the same faces popping up on all sorts of things, which is I think one reason for the 12 episodes thing. The only exception to this really are soaps, which will go on forever, with no break, until we have all died in a nuclear war - despite hiding in a fridge - until only cockroaches are watching.

I liked it. The panel towards the end is hysterical and reminded me of that C-Span one i posted a while ago.

Plus, i like that they didn't go near race when Walowitz said something along the lines of, "A guy like him."
