Hells Yeah! I think Justin Haywald has one of the sexiest voices in the history of man kind. It is second only to Sir Bradley Shoemaker.

Grrr... I really really think that Silent Hill 4 & 5 are continuously underrated. The story in both is definitely the strong points and people don't play enough to see it through.

Haven't listened to the podcast yet, but YOU DO NOT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT ASSASSIN'S CREED II. It is the game of the year.

Now, in usual internet fashion, tell me why I am wrong.

What's all this talk of AC2 hate? If it's true maybe we can all rage so much that Ryan is forced to read our comments on a future podcast... ;)

Haven't listened yet, but I'd hate on AC2 just so I can laugh at all the overreactions on the forums.

I was pretty annoyed by the attitude that some you guys had on this podcast. Ryan's "fail five times in the beginning" = a failure of game, attitude is mostly annoying. But Jade's reaction when she heard something also put me off. She said something along the lines of "The second I hear *BLANK* I was like, no thank you, I'm out of here." Ultimately maybe their right to be selective of what they play but that's going over the top.

That attitude just sounds elitist to me, makes me want to go "Well fuck you then, don't play the game and remain The Proud Lord of the Flies." or something like that. I know I shouldn't get worked up by this but it sound so hypocritical since half of the Geeky shit they talk about is kinda like a slow burn, you know.

I don't understand Ryan's complaints with ACII. It's like you want the game to play itself. The controls have a moderate learning curve, but for the most part it actually simplifies the actions required to achieve a desired result. You complain about having trouble with the early race mission, but can you imagine the difficulty if the game's pathfinding AI didn't assist the player controlled character in finding landing spots and ledges? Imagine attempting to land cleanly on a mailbox after having leaped off of the roof of your house.

It just sounds like years of hand holding in games has dulled your skills, because if the difficulty you've been encountering with the game were anything but user error, the game wouldn't be getting the acclaim it has received.

Unrelated to ACIi, I can't believe you guys are hating on Avatar already (the story, particularly). No fAith in James Cameron? What kind of nerds are you?

Master Higgins wondered why so many shows are taking a long break for winter. I'm not 100% sure (because I don't really watch it) but isn't it partly because the Winter Olympics starting in early 2010?

Yeah, the Winter Olympics run February 12 through 28, and pretty much every network is scared shitless to program against it. Shows typically return sometime in mid/late-January, so the timing of the Olympics leaves 2 options: 1)returning before the games, air a few episodes, go on a 2 week break, then return again, or 2)wait until after the games and run episodes uninterrupted through the end of the season. Fans tend to rage when shows takes periodic breaks between episodes (Option 1), so Option 2 is what most networks are leaning toward. Juggernaut shows (like Lost, 24, American Idol, etc.) are returning before the Olympics and (I have to assume) will air opposite the games because people aren't worried about ratings with those shows; newer shows and shows with less of a following don't have that luxury.

I really don't get how anyone could have a hard time playing Assassins Creed 2 it's one of the most intuitive games I've ever played. You hold down 2 buttons and move a thumb stick and the game basically plays itself.

Higgins must be sad that Avatar is getting good reviews.

Who the hell watches the Winter Olympics?!?

I actually would love for Avatar to be a great movie. It just looks pretty fucking dumb, and a far cry from Cameron's "world-changing movie." Hype is fine, but jesus...
