Here is that Floor Crawl Ryan was talking about.

of course, none of you actually would have gotten a 'launch' system since this 25th anniversary is of the original launch in Oct 85 in New York City only, the 'test market' nintendo did for xmas 85 before it went national in early '86. :)

I wouldn't make such sweeping generalizations. I had it with Gyromite, R.O.B. and Duckhunt.

Something to note about Rob the robot, and the spinning discs. I later dug this up in a box that I found with old nintendo stuff. The discs were kept together by glue. By the time I found it the glue had kind of lost it's stick and the disc kind of fell apart. There was a thin metal top, a heavy metal washer in the middle and the plastic frame. You could still push everything together and get it spinning on the spinning device that came with it, and take it off and turn it to the side and all 3 components would separate. I found this could be a little dangerous, and started destroying old magazines. I feel like I was the only one that found this long term defect int he spinning discs that came with rob the robot, but I'm most likely not.

It's been bothering me for a while but I figured out who Justin sounds like. He sounds like Logan Decker.

That package was available for some time -- I got mine in Florida in Oct. 1987.

Oh dear lord. I would rather have to listen to Jinpei talking nonstop the next time I have sex, than another episode with Justin Haywald. Listening to him ruin the very last episode of Retronauts, which I listened to right before this podcast, was like having my eardrums being raped - raped with the nonstop obnoxious-sarcastic-hipster-jabs at anything and everything. Did anyone notice that whenever Justin was talking, Master Higgins was completely silent?

Har har har. Seriously, I mean that whenever Justin is talking about a topic, Higgins just doesn't add anything to the conversation. It's like he checks out.

It has far less to do with the timbre of his voice, and much more to do with the content of what his voice says. His smarminess is off the charts!

This episode wasn't great but it's not because of who was on it, it's what they were talking about.
