good episode. By the way, the dharma station with all the tv's (the tube) is actually called The Pearl. And in your summary of the episode you forgot about Lapidus and Sun talking to Christian.

Great episode. Although I don´t know all that much about the comics being talked about and I don´t follow Lost, I still enjoy listening to the intellectual and geeky discussions about them. It makes my ride to school a lot more enjoyable.
What a horrible night to have a curse.

Great episode, as always. A couple things:

re:Fables, The Last Castle one-shot is included in the fourth trade paperback, March of the Wooden Soldiers.

re:Murderball aka Quad Rugby, according to the documentary (in fact, I think its Mark Zupan that speaks the line), "quadriplegic" is defined as having impairment in all four limbs, and not necessarily having complete loss of function. And as side note, I highly recommend watching Murderball; its informative and very entertaining.

Higgins: Jacob's voice is actually by Carlton Cuse, the co-executive producer of Lost, along with Damon Lindelof.

Great episode, but Higgins was very wrong about the Jacob thing. The actor for Jacob that they flash for a brief second is not Clancy Brown. It is the prop master for the show. There is a behind the scenes feature on the DVD that explains this. They show the prop guy and the scene of Jacob. Don't know about the voice though.

don't read below if you consider lost episode titles spoilers -

100% 'The Incident' is Faraday, from the very first moment of this season, the season comes full circle at the end, to that moment of Faraday in the cave where the big mass of energy is behind the wall that the guys were digging at and Candle warns them about messing with it/digging it out. In La Fleur, Sawyer says Faraday isn't with them anymore. I read into this that he's either gone nuts or gone native, either way it's a result of the death of Charlotte. To try and save her he is going to sabotage/destroy/release the time-shifting powerful energies beyond that wall, this happening in the past would prevent the time-slips from occouring in the future. Preventing the jumps, preventing the nosebleeds, preventing the death of charlotte. What we see at the start of the season is the beginning of the incident, Faraday in disguise heading in to do whatever he's going to do that causes it.

He will however fail. Because if he succeeds it would render the whole season a pointless non-existant loop that never actually happened and we'd have to reset to before the jumps began. An 'it was all a dream' scenario that everybody hates. This would truly suck. I do however think he will through his action somehow stop the timeslips, end the story arc of the season.

((( I haven't watched this weeks episode yet. Watching tonight. Just incase it covers Faraday or something and renders this theory void!))

I've only seen the first four episodes of Lost but I've heard a hundred and one spoiler talks about Lost. I think it is only possible for someone who does not watch the show to accurately guess the ending. Like Beethoven being deaf or something.

-The whole island is a time crank that makes the earth travel through time and space.
-Kate is a man
-The number of letters in Ben's name represent how many Lord of the Ring movies have been made.
-Jacob doesn't turn out to be Vincent but Vincent turns out to be Jacob.

Nice to hear some comic talk over the usual Lost block, nice to hear Grant Morrison bought up in a positive way and good to hear a few Flash facts about one of my favorite heroes. Yeah, put Chu in her place Higgins.

Fun episode, one of my favorite podcasts. Maybe you guys could add in a segment where you highlight that weeks comic releases, just so we can get our comic talk fix.

Great show.

The Geekbox Episode 9

Postby Sefaerorry » Sep 29th, 2018 @ 1:46am

I just finished the new episode: dreams and dreamers, and I thought about a theory I read a few years ago about Jon and the crypts, Lyannas tomb, and Rhaegars harp. Are you familiar with this theory, its old so im sure it was debunked already but I thought that it may have been touched upon during the episode when Jons dreams from AGOT were analyzed a little bit, but it wasnt. Which makes me think its irrelevant. Thanks
