I just wanted to say congratulations for taking four and a half months to watch and then talk about a two-part episode of a TV show, when in that same span of time, I've watched all five seasons of the reboot-series from start to finish. I'm not actually being facetious, because seriously, the timing on this couldn't have worked out better for me. I'm going to watch the final episode as soon as I push "post."

Pirates, vampires, zombies,

but remember NINJAS? like early 90's were so ninja'd up. TMNT, Three Ninjas, Power rangers (were kind of like ninjas) umm.. American Ninja.

Man, but isn't it time for barbarians to become retro cool now?

The seven words you cannot say on television:
Spoiler: show
Shit, piss, cunt, fuck, cocksucker, mother-fucker and tits =)

And yeah, AMC does play the occasional stinker for reasons beyond my understanding. I've seen Catwoman play on there every now and then.

You want ninjas? Here is the opening of the best ninja movie ever made

The rest of the movie is like the exorcist meets flash dance with ninjas. If Liquid were to watch that movie I'm 90% sure it would be his favorite movie of all time.

The Gabriel guy comes off as a major twat. He only talks every five minutes and it's just to chime in with some shit-don't-stink, ubernerd factoid and then there's just an uncomfortable silence. He's like our own personal Red Shirt Guy.

Yay for Higgins plugging the HUB Network!

In answer to Karen's question, Burt Ward became really fat. And Adam West was too busy getting ass from all the Batman groupies to help him out.

The good guest this week briefly brings up a good point about Fallout New Vegas that I realized but never really vocalized. That game, for as open ended as it is, starts extremely linear. You have these paths north and east from Goodspring, but if you try and traverse them you will get your shit raped by cazadors or deathclaws respectively. You are forced to explore south and around Nipton to Novac. I'm sure with enough familiarity with the game you could sequence break that first series of quests, like leveling up and investing in sneak and sneaking your way northeast to NV. But for a new player not familiar with the games' world or especially Fallout's gameplay systems, you're really kind of only given the illusion of choice and are forced down a very specific path.

Loved the before the episode video, hope they make that a thing. Anyone who likes doctor who should really check out the original series on netflix, especially if you think Tennant is like, the best ever.Lots of incredible actors in that role.

Old Doctor Who is unwatchable.

It's difficult if you come in expecting the never stop pace of the current series, but I have to disagree it's unwatchable. Just slow sometimes, and not as indulgent as the current series.

I'm curious, what episode did you try to watch?

Sherlock is quite good, but they end the season on a huge cliffhanger. We'll have to wait almost a year for the next season. :(

I didn't like the assassin episode either. You might have just gotten some bad episodes.

I agree, I thought "WE BROUGHT SHERLOCK HOLMES INTO THE 21st CENTURY!!!" would have been lame but its great.

Karen, never stop eating/drinking on the podcast. Seriously, it is not like you are super annoying about it, and BTdubs, that was a hell of a belch!

Cool guests though this week. The zombie talk was actually pretty cool and then the Resident Evil differentiation between the types was pretty cool. I never knew that 1/1000 fact where they would become special types of NOT-zombies.

I thought generally speaking zombies were reanimated living dead? I'm pretty sure that disqualifies the 28 D/W monsters, but you'd have to be a super fucking dork to combat the misconception.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.

But if it is sarcasm - you do realize that instead of eating a proper dinner, they're podcasting, right? I'm just glad they get a podcast pumped out every week, and they're literally sacrificing meals so we can have something fun to listen to.

People who complain about the Eatbox need to be ejected from humanity.

Zombies can't die of starvation.

The zombies in 28 days later can

And that's why they're not zombies. They are infected with rage, and still alive. To quote:

Chambers dictionary wrote:zombie or zombi noun (zombies or zombis)
1 (derog, colloq) A slow-moving, stupid, unresponsive or apathetic person.
2 A corpse brought to life again by magic.

And the first wave of zombies in RE1 (pure T-strain) aren't either, technically; the grounds keeper's diary reveals he never died of the virus, just slowly succumbed to the effects. Others are later shown to have been killed and as a result reanimated, but not all of them have done so.

Now, Dead Rising's zombies, they're proper zombies. They all died to succumb to the virus, and they're slow. As long as you forget the "sun goes down, SUPAH ZOMBIES" thing, they did well there.
