I just wanted to say congratulations for taking four and a half months to watch and then talk about a two-part episode of a TV show, when in that same span of time, I've watched all five seasons of the reboot-series from start to finish. I'm not actually being facetious, because seriously, the timing on this couldn't have worked out better for me. I'm going to watch the final episode as soon as I push "post."

The good guest this week briefly brings up a good point about Fallout New Vegas that I realized but never really vocalized. That game, for as open ended as it is, starts extremely linear. You have these paths north and east from Goodspring, but if you try and traverse them you will get your shit raped by cazadors or deathclaws respectively. You are forced to explore south and around Nipton to Novac. I'm sure with enough familiarity with the game you could sequence break that first series of quests, like leveling up and investing in sneak and sneaking your way northeast to NV. But for a new player not familiar with the games' world or especially Fallout's gameplay systems, you're really kind of only given the illusion of choice and are forced down a very specific path.

Loved the before the episode video, hope they make that a thing. Anyone who likes doctor who should really check out the original series on netflix, especially if you think Tennant is like, the best ever.Lots of incredible actors in that role.

Old Doctor Who is unwatchable.

It's difficult if you come in expecting the never stop pace of the current series, but I have to disagree it's unwatchable. Just slow sometimes, and not as indulgent as the current series.

I'm curious, what episode did you try to watch?

I tried to watch that one where they make the doctor look like an assassin and another Tom Baker episode.

Sherlock is quite good, but they end the season on a huge cliffhanger. We'll have to wait almost a year for the next season.

I agree, I thought "WE BROUGHT SHERLOCK HOLMES INTO THE 21st CENTURY!!!" would have been lame but its great.

Cool guests though this week. The zombie talk was actually pretty cool and then the Resident Evil differentiation between the types was pretty cool. I never knew that 1/1000 fact where they would become special types of NOT-zombies.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.

But if it is sarcasm - you do realize that instead of eating a proper dinner, they're podcasting, right? I'm just glad they get a podcast pumped out every week, and they're literally sacrificing meals so we can have something fun to listen to.

And that's why they're not zombies. They are infected with rage, and still alive. To quote:

2 A corpse brought to life again by magic.

And the first wave of zombies in RE1 (pure T-strain) aren't either, technically; the grounds keeper's diary reveals he never died of the virus, just slowly succumbed to the effects. Others are later shown to have been killed and as a result reanimated, but not all of them have done so.

Now, Dead Rising's zombies, they're proper zombies. They all died to succumb to the virus, and they're slow. As long as you forget the "sun goes down, SUPAH ZOMBIES" thing, they did well there.
