Guys, we're 36 episodes into this shit and not only can you guys still can't pronounce Frank Quitely properly, but we've added a third cast member that can't as well.

It's Frank QUITE-ly, NOT QUIET-ly. It's not quiet as in SHUT THE FUCK UP and be QUIET, it's quite, as in QUITE FRANKLY, YOU GUYS ARE ALL DIPSHITS!

Ok, rage levels normalizing.

Prior to recording yesterday's episode, Toby had mentioned the whole George Takei's Star Wars & Star Trek vs. Twilight campaign.
Toby indicated he might discuss it on the podcast, so in anticipation of this topic, I made this video.
AND YES, I REALIZE THE NAME OF THE PODCAST IS COMIC CONSPIRACY NOT COMICS CONSPIRACY, but I had already uploaded the video to YouTube and wasn't about to pull a Lucas and tweak what's already out there.

As far as new blood comics writers go, I don't think the cast dug deep enough. Rick Remender, Nick Spencer and Kieron Gillen are all doing great work for Marvel, in addition to the DC talent Higgins mentioned (Actually, I hear a lot of good stuff about Spencer's T.H.U.N.D.E.R Agents for DC too). I'm sure there are more out there, but I haven't been able to dig as much as I want.

Marvel has new blood? And they are good?

As to Nick Spencer's T.H.U.N.D.E.R Agents I'm not blown away, but I will check out issue #2.

I consistently hear Uncanny X-Force is the best book Marvel has out today. And I really liked Spencer's Cloak and Dagger mini during Spider-Island, and dug it when he went on Word Balloon and said he hopes he gets a regular C&D series out of it.

Uncanny X-Force was interesting until the last story arc went on for 8 issues and was slow and almost unreadable. As for Spider-Island: C&D, I passed on all of the mini's from this because Spider-Island itself was bad.

The Cloak and Dagger mini has almost nothing to do with Spider Island. Aside from a few pages in the first book where they show the Avengers fighting the mutated spider people, it is completely separate and has nothing to do with any other characters involved or the spider virus. It's also god damned amazing.
