You know what? I have one Miami story that needs to be told.
Picture this: I'm in 4th Grade, and the eye of Hurricane Katrina is hovering above our house (It was a Category 1 when it blew thru my hood). Unfortunately, my N64 got fried when the power went out, and my mom took the liberty of throwing out my N64 as well as all the games it came with. While I knew the N64 was a lost cause, my 100% completed Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time cartridges were about to get drenched on the curb. I panicked, ran outside, and 3 Somali women were rummaging through our garbage. When they saw me, they hopped into a giant pickup and floored it. Thankfully, they left my games alone, so I reached into the bag they were in and snagged my two Zelda games and Smash Bros. Mickey Mouse Speedway and Superman 64 could suck it. But just as I began to draw them into my bosom and shelter the cartridges inside to keep warm, no freaking kidding, this guy came out of nowhere, shoved me into the mud (I WAS 10!), took my games, and ran, leaving Superman 64 and me. Oh, and right about then, the eye passed and it started pouring on me. Somehow I didn't cry.

However, I DID cry when I went to school and he was a freaking janitor there.

I would argue that Milwaukee and Madison are two of the coolest cities in the Midwest.

Unlike Brian Altano, I actually WILL answer questions that are directed at me.

1) I said I was in the suburbs, and for Miami that is a pretty large area thanks to tourism.
2) My family was too broke to afford video games, so I got hand me downs from cousins and uncles. Thankfully, one of my Uncles was a gamer, but he wasn't giving his Gamecube up until the Wii was out.
3) Because the human race is easily confused, and if I didn't quote myself, some might wonder what the hell I'm talking about.

Weird fact: I used to think Samus had 3 boobs thanks to Metroid Fusion.

This is true. So much so, one of my friends failed to graduate because Madison is one of the top 5 party schools in the nation.

This is also true. There's a great blend of out-of-staters and farmers' daughters, giving it a rich diversity of bitches.

Ya driving SUV's in the winter is not a great idea because due to their higher centre of gravity among other reasons they are more prone to rollovers. Also found Scott's recounting of being in a car during what sounds to be fairly light winter driving to be pretty funny. Wonder what he would do if he was ever in anything even remotely close to whiteout conditions with some good strong winds?

Never said you were driving, just what would go down if you were in actually bad winter weather. Kind of like this



and that's not even that bad.

I've driven in whiteout conditions on a closed highway where I could only see about 150~200 metres (500~650 feet) in front of me and that was when I was 18. Never once been in a ditch before either, although I did get into a skid before.

when I got the thrill of hearing my letter read out loud. The thrill was short lived when I realized how dorky my letter sounded (I wouldn't have sent me a t-shirt either). Chicago and Minneapolis go without saying, I suppose. Madtown is cool as hell, especially the college campus. Madison just has that energy that you find in really cool cities. La Crosse may be small, but it is hellacool, though right now it's covered in snow. (One thing I won't miss about the Midwest when I go to North Carolina for school next year) La Crosse has a downright cool community, and trust me, the parties are crazy, (we used to have the record for most bars per one mile of street. 3rd street gets crazy on the weekends.) and Oktoberfest is insane.
