The podcasts you were listening to must have been pretty bad then, because I thought these guys were doing more nitpicking than praising. Which is utterly baffling to me, when this was a far more competent and intelligent film than the Avengers, but nobody on these podcasts had a single ill thing to say about that one.sodapop7 wrote:Loved the movie and so glad I finally got to listen to a podcast where people weren't nitpicking it to death!

kenzo wrote:Quick thoughts:
- I loved Batman vs The Bomb. To me, that made the movie. The first movie was the humble beginnings of Batman. The second was a very typical Batman-story of Batman vs twisted-criminal/villain. This third movie? Batman vs the impossible. Batman vs a comic scenario. Batman becoming a legend - the savior of a city - finally fulfilling his goal of becoming a symbol to inspire others. Batman becoming bigger than life. Batman becoming the kind of guy who could take on anything - not just thugs and criminals - the kind of Batman that would make sense and hold his own working with the Justice League. It was awesome. It took the Nolan-IRL-deconstruction of Batman, and reconstructed him into the Batman we all know and love.

This was definitely referenced in the Comic Conspiracy podcast.trippingmartian wrote:All I could think about while listening to this part of the pod was how nobody was bringing up this classic (and somehow preferable) Batman vs. a bomb scene:
