Timely discussion, I actually just started reading Busiek and Perez's Avengers where Justice and Firestar join. My first real dive into an Avengers book. Shit is fucking CASH. Perez is a god damned monster.

Oh yah, Jason Aaron on Teen Titans is totally just because he has been doing so good with the young cast of WatXM and I don't know shit about old Teen Titans but from reading the first two amazingly shitty issues, they definitely needed a writer who understood the "teen" more than the titans. Now that you mentioned him though Allan Heinberg would be better. Young Avengers was AWESOME.

I literally laughed out loud when he said the guys in the tracksuits were vampires based on Clint calling the guy a "tracksuit dracula."

The book is amazing by the way. That second issue was one of the best single issues I've read of anything in months.

Also I fricken love the abbreviated translation stuff. Let's face facts, 99.999999999999999% of the time when foreign dialogue is actually translated just with brackets around it, it's the most trite, meaningless shit ever and nothing that can't be inferred just from looking at the art. So having "Maybe Russian?" in lieu of actual translated dialog you could take it as us reading it via Clint's proxy, or just a stylistic flourish either way I think it's totally clever. I laughed when I saw this:
