I definitely didn't drink that water thankfully.

Nice thumb. AVX Vs. 6 pretty much vindicated that series. That Squirrel Girl/Pixie "fight" was the best thing I read last week.

Also while it's refreshing that you guys are enjoying any Marvel comics in any capacity, it would be nice if it wasn't such a big deal that you do every time.

Honestly, it's just kind of a joke. The real big deal will be when Brock likes one!

No, the big deal is when Brock actually reads one. He seems to have a pretty potent opinion about shit he doesn't even read.

My top 5 sexy-time comics right now:
5. Secret Avengers
4. Aquaman (mera and all those chicks on the others!)
3. Catwoman (easy number one but Nocenti/melo took over)
2. Cassanova
1. Birds of Prey (yeah, chicks name is Sterling)

I read a small handful of Marvel single issues, but I'm not going to spend my money on them. Got to "Draw the Line" somewhere.

Haha Brock is such a wet blanket. AVX Vs 6 is sooooooo fun.

Did any of you guys read the Avenging Spidey issue from a week or two ago? It's got Deadpool in it so I was expecting it to be really dumb but it was pretty awesome. It's like a riff on Inception.

Avenging is great. There have been a couple wack issues (the Aunt May ish was super duper shitty), but most of the time it's more entertaining than ASM.

I don't pick Avenging up regularly but for the most part it's a really entertaining book.

I've got a question for Brock - did you read the Superman #0? Because that was a bitchin issue and delivered everything the last year's worth of Supes failed to - good art, good writing, and going somewhere interesting/new.

I did read it and I enjoyed it, especially after that horrible Superman Annual the number one was a breath of fresh air. I am hopeful that the new direction they are taking this book pans out, because the Super books have been lacking in this New 52.

I don't know the history of the old DCU very much. Has Superman ever really had time-traveling adventures on Krypton before? Because I feel like he hasn't, and it just surprised me how fresh that idea seemed and at the same time it baffled me how this feels like unexplored territory when it really shouldn't be. That issue also had me and CrossXHunter geeking out earlier with all kinds of wild speculation - what if Superman somehow manages to averts the death of Krypton? Imagine some kind of DCU-crisis event where the universe is now full of Superpeeps because Krypton never exploded, and there's no way to stop them because there is no Kryptonite.

I think they have had stories like this before. I'm interested to see where this pans out. The time crisis angle is a lot to invest in and it would screw up continuity even more in the New 52 even. Not sure if this is the best angle to go with for the title. But as for no Kryptonite...all one would have to do is illegally mine for it..
