My local shop sells comics, table-top games and supplies, and textbooks for the local college. Even without the latter, it does well enough with the comics and games. Especially for the Magic the Gathering players, what with Friday Night Magic. Though, there are the occasional walk-ins who believe the shop sells video games. Can't really blame them, since "games" is featured under the store's sign.

I think the reason why you get comic shops that carry gaming material, but not gaming shops that carry comics is because frankly, comics take over your store.

Unless you're going to buy a grocery store spinning rack of comics to pop on this week's top 20 sellers and that's it (And what regular comic reader is buying from places like that?), the stock a comic shop needs to keep on hand is outrageous. The display space you need will eat up a huge amount of your real estate. On the other hand, Magic cards can be kept under a glass counter/a box or two of the current "season" of cards by the register. It's just a lot smaller of a commitment to make.

Superman: Secret Identity at #9 is a little too low, but I'm glad it made the cut. That's still one of my favorite comics I've ever read. Kevin you should absolutely read that one.

I did surprisingly well on this week's Superman quiz. "Surprisingly", for I don't consider myself to be an avid DC aficionado.

My favorite Superman story had little chance of making the list that Ryan read, but it's worth a mention if for no other reason than it's one of those one and done gems that often gets overlooked.

Action Comics no. 579 paired Superman with what was a blatant homage to the Asterix comic characters.
Seek it out if you're a fan of Goscinny & Uderzo's Asterix series.
