This has to be my favorite episode since the podcast started. I just find myself nodding in agreement with everything you guys are talking about in regards to both DC and Marvel's creative team management, collection formats, the crossovers, and the lack of interest in their titles over time.

When I read the Amazing X-Men #1, which I enjoyed, I was curious to check out Jason Aaron's Wolverine and the X-Men because of how good and fun it's suppose to be. The softcover trades are $15 for four issues. I couldn't see myself getting that. Mainly because I've spent that same amount and gotten more for it. Hell, the Black Beetle hardcover with four issues and a one-shot was $20. I would have expected to spend an extra five, maybe ten dollars, for that; but no. Although, since Marvel is needlessly relaunching W&tXM, I guess I can wait to jump on the single issues.

Heck, I think it was one of the guests I had heard on this Podcast, but they had said something I agree with quite a bit: The TPB is on its last legs. People who just want to read a collection will be able to do it for cheaper, and take up less space in their homes with digital. Single issues will still continue on for the collectors/people who read weekly.

 He's definitely a TryHard Marvel fan. While Higgin's may be a bigger DC fan/shill he doesn't start every sentence with a silly stab at he opposition. It's mostly funny though, it's even funnier how they pile up on poor Brock and Brock can't do anything but deliver his comebacks that only he laughs at.

Hey! Nah that was me. Omar isn't into the west coast underground, he's a east coast kinda guy. And as he would say the vids are coming out in 2024!

Nah they'll come sooner, w/ my dayjob and horrible home situation, editing vids hasn't been the easiest to do. Lane offered to let me use his office, so I may take him up on it. I also want to finish a few of them before putting them out so I can have them come out on a somewhat regular schedule. I still have to finish my season 2 of the Comedy Button at a theme park too.

Sorry, will work on them soon!

Hieroday was super awesome! You should go this year, although I have a feeling that Pax will be the same weekend again!

No, it isn't. It's awful. He's more of an obnoxious fanboy than everyone else on the podcast put together, his Marvel-fan-persecution-complex is boring and obnoxious, and he drones on and takes longer to make his points than Fitch but is generally much more combative and mean spirited. I mean, WTF. These year-in-review episodes, he spent more time talking about what he DIDN'T like, or how someone else was wrong about this or that, or taking cheap potshots, than ACTUALLY TALKING ABOUT WHAT HE LIKED AND WHY. I love this podcast, but it's gotten to the point where it's unlistenable when he's on. I'm getting to the point where I'm considering dropping the podcast lately whenever he's on.

Bryce. Bro. Chill out, guy.

Uh, DC doesn't have a house style?

I'm pretty sure that's wrong. I can't distinguish between DC artists most of the time.

Marvel artists I can distinguish.

There are a few artists working at DC that have a very distinct style but for the most part, yea those guys are totally interchangeable. Marvel's artists are typically more distinct, but usually for the worse. I'd probably take some of DC's top shelf talent like JHW III and Ivan Reis and stick them on Marvel books if I could.
