Green Arrow 17 was pretty good. I wish it was in black and white though, with a splash of color every once and awhile and I sense a bit of Hawkeye and Iron Fist in this. I'll be picking up the next issue.

Thanks. I've been trying to catch up with the collected editions. I just finished reading Vol.4 of Guardians. Wish there was more. I'm a little confused with the War of Kings/Realm of KIngs. I've read both collected editions. Realm of Kings felt disconnected with there not being a single narrative/story (other than the reach). Also, I thought that Darkhawk was supposed to be more involved. And I didn't really care for the Skaar stuff. Looking at this reading list makes me think I've missed some stuff that might not have been put into collected editions. I'm going to have to look into the Nova stuff more. I somehow missed the end of War of Kings with how the 2 warring factions ended up together. Is that in War of Kings: Who will Rule? ?

I thought Psylocke was a little too ragemad in it, but it could definitely be good after a couple more issues. It was definitely really good at dispelling any potential comparison to Remender's run right out of the gate which I liked.

The worst part about UXF was the one splash page where Puck is standing next to the girls and he barely comes up to their crotches. Every other panel he comes up to their chests. It's like a 2 foot height difference. I don't know how that didn't get caught.

ORLY?? You mean this thousand year old story - that's so old nobody knows who wrote it - isn't copyrighted by anybody???

I really liked the anthology style Adventures they did before that but Waid and Samnee killed it in CoD. I love that dinosaurs can still surprise me. The last two issues of that were like if the ending of Jurassic Park 2 wasn't completely miserable.

As a guy who likes the Batman films a lot, I'm kinda insulted by this analogy. CoD blows.

Catching up with this episode (not finished yet). Quick notes:

- When Omar said "Around the Horn" asking for opinions, all I could think of was this.

- Death of the Family was terrible (but admittedly not as bad as it could have been - it could have been as dumb as the Court of Owls bullshit). The "it was all a joke" thing is kinda lame and passe. The "Joker doesn't really know who they are" is bullshit considering he knows who they are and demonstrated as much. The way I read it, the ending bit about him not wanting to know who Batman is, is less that he doesn't actually want to know Batman's secret identity (he knows), but more that he wants to deny that Batman has a deeper identity underneath the cowl and wants the Batman persona to be all there is to Batman.

The event was shit because we've been teased the entire time that this was going to be a permanent, landscape altering event, and it wasn't. Batman & Robin #17 proves it pretty hard. Right after everyone parts ways and avoids Bruce (including Damien), we're immediately given Batman & Robin #17 where Bruce and Damien have the most touching father-son moment ever. It would have been cool to have a legit breakup of the Bat-family, but the way it was done in this just wasn't believable, and you know it just won't stick either. You mean to tell me that, the Bat-family, the most notorious and closely knit super-family of all time, are all of a sudden not going to trust each other and break ties with each other because of a few ambiguous things The Joker whispers in their ears? This is THE JOKER - the guy who nobody in their right mind (least of all the people who should know best - the Bat-folks) should ever trust or believe. So dumb.

- When you guys were talking about how mini-series don't sell, and that comics are better off branding themselves as ongoing even if that's dishonest, I wanted to fuckin' punch somebody. If that's really the case, then the people who buy comics and support that industry are the fucking worst.

Now that kid was fucking incredible!! He was thinking BOOBS!!!!!

Yes, the Death in the Fam coulda been better, but I think Snyder/Capullo went the safe route where others can play off it as they wish. I for one would hate to see Damian go away somehow out of this as his character is funny as shit-- and bringin the DK into more of the solo badass again would make all of Morrison's work go to waste

If Damien goes away, it's not because of the events of Death of the Family, it's because of something else. DotF had no effect on their relationship.
