Charlie mentions Kingdom Come. Take a drink. ;)

With the Justice League movie seemingly canceled. What does everyone think is the big hold up? Picking a villain that distinguishes the movie from Avengers? Casting JL members and making sure they get adequate screen time? Or do film makers just find the project too big and unwieldy to do?

Warner Bros. has no idea how to make a superhero movie.

It's funny hearing Omar tell Bryce to get Snyder's dick out of his mouth considering how much sucking of Johns and Morrison's dick goes on by multiple people.

Still, I look forward to the show every week.

I've been unironically loving this show a lot since Charlie, Toby, Omar and Bryce became regulars on it.

Almost makes that first year worth sitting thru.

Almost.

That was Brock that was swallowing Snyder, as for Bryce he is more of a Bendis and Remender butt-muncher ; P

It's different than what we talked about before.

Yeah but is it different than what you talked about that other time before? Or the time before that?

My local shop sells comics, table-top games and supplies, and textbooks for the local college. Even without the latter, it does well enough with the comics and games. Especially for the Magic the Gathering players, what with Friday Night Magic. Though, there are the occasional walk-ins who believe the shop sells video games. Can't really blame them, since "games" is featured under the store's sign.

Thanks for the trivia on early comic book covers. I always wondered what the deal with them was

I've only listened to part of the podcast, but I got up to this point and found it pretty fascinating/hilarious. I'm glad that something good came out of my dumb question I made Cross submit.

Also, Brock really wanted to answer the question straight, and I'm really curious what he thought. Because me and Kevin have a lot riding on this one.

What would win in a fight - a Silverback Gorilla or a Siberian Tiger.

I think the reason why you get comic shops that carry gaming material, but not gaming shops that carry comics is because frankly, comics take over your store.

Unless you're going to buy a grocery store spinning rack of comics to pop on this week's top 20 sellers and that's it (And what regular comic reader is buying from places like that?), the stock a comic shop needs to keep on hand is outrageous. The display space you need will eat up a huge amount of your real estate. On the other hand, Magic cards can be kept under a glass counter/a box or two of the current "season" of cards by the register. It's just a lot smaller of a commitment to make.

Damn straight, Brock. Siberian Tigers are the DC of animals, and Gorillas are the Marvel of animals.

Superman: Secret Identity at #9 is a little too low, but I'm glad it made the cut. That's still one of my favorite comics I've ever read. Kevin you should absolutely read that one.

I did surprisingly well on this week's Superman quiz. "Surprisingly", for I don't consider myself to be an avid DC aficionado.

My favorite Superman story had little chance of making the list that Ryan read, but it's worth a mention if for no other reason than it's one of those one and done gems that often gets overlooked.

Action Comics no. 579 paired Superman with what was a blatant homage to the Asterix comic characters.
Seek it out if you're a fan of Goscinny & Uderzo's Asterix series.

To to the person who wrote in asking for an Earth Day comic book recommendation, just about any of Paul Chadwick's Concrete stories would fit that bill nicely.
