I've never been a big fan of adventure games, but I decided to check out Monkey Island SE because of its status as a "classic." It took me about five and a half hours to finish, with only a few hints. I played it through again to get the "Human Cannonball" achievement, skipping as much as possible and avoiding all unnecessary conversations and it took an hour and a half. It definitely pays to know exactly what you're doing. It was a fun game overall, but the bits that I got stuck on during my first play-through just reminded me why I don't like adventure games.

They totally changes Bass' name here. He's called Forte in Japan.

Also, Protoman's name is Blues. :p

It's funny how afraid/put off of camping a lot of the podcast members are. You guys live in California so i assume there is no worry of grizzly bears and there's prolly some awesome camping spots as well.

Great show as always.

Master Higgins, the real name of the anime you mentioned is Kagaku Ninja Tai Gatchaman, or Gatchaman for short.

Two of the characters are featured in Tatsunoko vs. Capcom and they'll have a big screen revivial next year thanks to Imagi Studios (TMNT) and Paul Dini (screenwriter for the film).

I was so happy to finally have a podcast that didn't spend 20 minutes talking about Burn Notice! Thank you! You need to have more guests on that don't watch it so we can continue to have awesome podcasts. In my opinion, the best episode so far - more talk about games and less about fitch hitch. Keep this up.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.

Listening to Jade is making me want to play Final Fantasy 9 again. I only played through it once, mainly cause I got a PS2 shorty after it came out. Although I must say, Final Fantasy 8 wasn't terrible

Yeah, the draw system sucked, but it was still a great game. Clearly Square was trying to do too much on the PS1. If any Final Fantasy needs a remake with updated graphics, it's FF8.

Yeah, I just went camping with 30 of my best friends last weekend and it was amazing. Our definition of camping, though, is just to get shitfaced in the woods. Mission accomplished.

I have to say, my respect for Ryan Scott has hit a new low with this show. I know the outdoors are scary, but such fervent condemnation and judgement of camping? Just silly. Camping is great. And whoever (I forget) said that there's nowhere to camp in Nevada is also silly, but mostly uninformed. Nevada has some great campsites and wilderness.

I don't mind listening to the fitch hitch stuff, but not when it takes up the whole episode like the "win a date with fitch" podcast. That's just overboard.
