I've joined up to say two things

1: Goodbye Greg you will be missed

2: Why couldn't it of been Karen who left instead!

So yeah, Fitch is right about the whole "shipper" thing. I have no idea where I got "worshiper" from.

I'm neither defending him or taking you side on this but why bother with that. I guess randomly dissing him is fine because he randomly dissed you but fixing peoples grammar on the net is kinda useless.

Not only that, but she didn't use proper capitalization. Perhaps the burn wasn't as sick as previously thought!

Seriously? You joined this forum just to say that? Do you really want this podcast to be a total sausage fest? Maybe Ryan should re-title it the Sausage Box...

Seriously, Karen's a perfect balance for the group and she's as snappy as they come. I say have more cool geek chix like her and Jade on!

Hey jinpei is here. Now lets all argue about Asian films. Naw, I'm just kidding that's an inside joke. Adrockski, stick around and you'll be rolling all over the floor at jokes like that.

Speaking about the podcast it self. I don't like the added death scene in the Watchmen director's cut. It's neat but it didn't have the same effect that the book did. I like the film so it's not like I'm being a purist or anything but the film was a lot less thematically consistent. I already bitched about it in this thread.

RIP Greg. You shouldn't have kept a bronze statue of your golden years, just lying around your living room.

Flash forward is based off of the novel by robert sawyer and not a very good one at that.

Just read the wiki entry for it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flashforward_%28novel%29
Sounds really interesting as a mini-series. I'm skeptical about how long they can drag the quintessential story. But perhaps the series just uses the novel as a base and setting. It definitely has my vote if they can prevent the time/future elements in an interesting way rather than emphasizing that ol' fate-vs.-free-will debate.

Karen, if you need a little extra motivation to stop smoking, just take a look at an x-ray of somebody's lungs who has been smoking for a few decades.

Just try not to smack too many people around in the process of quitting.

From what I understand (and I've not read the book yet), the main difference is that the book flashes the characters 20 some years into the future, while the show flashes a mere 6 months. I'm also a little skeptical about how long the show can hold the premise, but I definitely plan to watch it when it airs (oh, and the other Lost connection in the cast besides Dominic Monaghan is Sonya Walger, aka Penny).

There was a question on the podcast about Dollhouse, and yes, its will still be on Friday nights when it returns.

And I'm pretty sure "Jacket" refers for Jack and Juliet, not Jack and Kate (which I'm fairly certain is "Jate"). I hate myself for knowing this.

If only that kind of stuff helped, people would have stopped decades ago.

I'd also be wary of the drugs that reduce cravings. Some studies have shown that they can cause psychotic episodes. :/

PS

It's great to see a slight influx of new members, COME POST IN THE GAMING SECTION!!!!

Just finished listening to the show for the second time:

-Master Higgins, what do you think of the Tim Sale font? I'm particularly fond of it.

-Good luck with quitting Chu-Chu. It'll be tough, but as long as you're doing it for you, I'm sure you'll make it.

A little something I learned in my smoking cessation seminars:

1) People only change when it is more painful to stay the way they are than it is to change.

2) Relapse will most likely happen. When it does, however, it's important not to be discouraged. If quitting was as simple as deciding to do so, we'd have a lot more success stories in a short amount of time. It's a process, not a light switch.
