Good episode but it could have used a little more Hello Kitty and Sesame Street talk

Awesome. Haven't heard good shamisen since the Yoshida Bros.

Nintendo Wii fans will recognize their song, Kodo (Inside the Sun Remix) as the soundtrack for the early commercials for the system.

Interesting guests this time around! A band with a Shamisen - and I thought I'd seen it all. It still isn't as weird to watch/listen to as Japanese rappers.

Hey Mark,

I could swear I heard some Belle & Sebastian at the beginning of the song that played out the show. Perhaps "Musician, Please Take Heed" by God Help the Girl. (from 1m15sec)

Can you let me know where that music was from?

Good to hear you're enjoying LoL, Ryan. I hope it's well received when it's released because I really like it. With any luck it will escape the worst parts of the DotA community and introduce a wider audience to the genre.

Oh! Interesting. Well the music at the end there is actually a little medley of Final Fantasy songs, from the videogame. So I think any similarity to the Belle & Sebastian tune must be purely coincidental. Good question tho!

Can Mark (or anyone else) let me know the name of the first Final Fantasy tune, or the FF game it comes from? (Not the fanfare tune).

I think it's just the overworld music from Final Fantasy 1.

I'll be interested to hear what Ryan has to say about this weeks Burn Notice, especially after hearing his comments about last week
"Critics who treat adult as a term of approval cannot be adult themselves. When I became a man, I put away childish things, including the desire to be very grown up." - C.S. Lewis

I was super surprised to hear that God of Shamisen was making an appearance on the show. I'm a sizable Kevin Kmetz fan -- I first heard about him through his work with Estradasphere and then checked out both Fishtank Ensemble and God of Shamisen, both of which are awesome bands.

Funny to see them turn up suddenly in one of my favorite podcasts.

Oh, and I don't think you guys ever got to Evony.

Also, their ads display on the website and it makes me sad. Should really block those from Google Ads :(

I can't believe Ryan and Ryan didn't know or maybe just didn't talk about the Giantbomb Matrix Online - Not Like This, Endurance Run.

Ryan Davis and Vinny Caravella played the game for about 10 hours and the recorded maybe four or five hours of it. They also had a live stream of the final hours. It was pretty hilarious.

Part 01 - Here they fumble around trying to even understand how to play. They also make alot of fun of the game and the franchise.

Part 02 - First time they interact with the community.

Part 03 - I think they just do some quest on this one. Don't remember.

Part 04 - I think this is the funnest/funniest episode, where they get flagged and everyone hunts them down and ganks them constantly.

Part 05 The Finale - Here they get the final chunk of the live broadcast and puts it up unedited. They come out the other side of all this with a new appreciation for the game or atleast the community.
-If you frequent these boards and have a PS3 please check out THIS THREAD.
-They built a shrine because I can't rhyme.
-Megaman Legends > *any game you like*
-I was on the internet and I saw a funny gif. Story of my life.

I was there watching the last 2 or 3 hours of broadcast, it was absolutely awesome, you should have seen the chat box filled with "not like this" quotes as the game ended, Christ you think it was just a bot spamming but there were about 300 people saying it....
