You need to listen to this episode. Top form Bryce meltdowns and arguments about nothing abound this week.

But those are the things I hate most in this podcast... :(

The last few weeks have been delightfully free of Bryce or his meltdowns.

If you like drunk men screaming directly into your eardrums about absolute nonsense, then I don't know what to say to you. But sometimes I like my podcasts to not damage my hearing and for the people on them to actually piece together coherent thoughts rather than have the occasional word make sense out of a garbled mess of nonsense being strained through mouths overflowing with foam.

I don't need a constant hugbox of DC-only love; it's actually less than ideal. But Bryce isn't there to provide a contrasting opinion. He's actually there to destroy all discourse. He seems completely incapable of having a polite difference of opinion with someone without becoming a raging asshole and destroying all semblance of rational discourse and ruining the entire experience for everyone.

I'd hoped that now that Omar was gone, he'd lose his source of being egged on to be so ridiculous and that the feedback loop of insanity would finally be broken. But that really doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe Higgins you need to take his alcohol away or something? I don't know.

And let me clarify because I'm using a lot of colorful language myself and exaggerating a lot to make a point. I don't hate Bryce. I find his perspectives valuable. But the dude needs to be a lot more self-reflective about what he's saying and how he says it. It's easy to drone on forever, but lots of times the more valuable statements are the briefest. And holy crap. You're not just making this recording for yourself; there are people listening - please stop shouting into the mic and shutting down conversations just because you disagree with stuff.

I honestly shut the podcast off at multiple points because his shit was so unbearable. It may be a character, but it is a pretty shitty character.

Man of Steel is the most underappreciated superhero movie since Punisher War Zone. People just seem to not get it or they want it to be something it's not.

Art and artists are not simply disposable and easily interchangable, especially not one like Esad Ribic. He is as much a part of the Secret Wars title as Hickman. Bringing someone else in would be foolhardy. I understand as a retailer you have different issues with it, but as far as the art is concerned I'd MUCH rather wait for titles and MUCH rather have continuity between creators.

Don't know what that is specifically in response to, but Higgins is definitely more of a writer guy than an art guy.

I mean, in an ideal world art is indispensable and carefully considered... But that's just not how the Big Two operate unfortunately. Like, ever.

I'm super grateful that you pumped an episode out Higgins. But like... Shouldn't you be on your honeymoon or something? Also congrats on getting your common law marriage officially government ordained!

Adventure Time is >>>>>> Steven Universe.

Unless you identify as LGBT or are a fat kid, in which case, Steven Universe panders/caters to those demos really hard.

Also, Adventure Time isn't really worth watching after like, season 3; it gets too far up its own ass and starts creating continuity/canon/fucking garbage relationship shit instead of just being bonkers no-consequences adventures all the time.

At this point, I like SU more than AT, for the exact reason you stopped caring about AT. I love when the show presents "canon," instead of the wacky, no-consequence on the world adventures.
Also, you can't forget POC. Helluva POC characters and voice actors. The show has mad representation for lots of "minority" groups.

The above sentence shows how deep in to Tumblr I am.

Yeah not sure if I dig SU or AT even though they seem very popular. And what the heck is POC?

Last night I randomly started watching my little monsters, I kinda dig it. What was the other anime you guys recommended? There was one about a music school or something done by the bebop guys?

Tried Attack on Titan, and know of Kill La Kill, but don't have any interest in that one yet. Wished Netflix has Naruto Shippuden, I could probably start watching that now. (Got sooooo turned off by the end of the Naruto run, haven't watched it in all these years.)

POC is a person of color.

The anime you are talking about is Kids on the Slope.
